STEP 1: How to Create a Craigslist Account (Safely & Correctly)

1. Go to Craigslist.org
Open your browser and type:
https://craigslist.org

2. Click “My Account” in the top-right corner
This is where you create and manage your posting account.

3. Click “Create Account”
You will see a link that says:
“Create an account”

4. Add a phone number if asked
Craigslist may require phone verification.

If so:

* Use your real mobile number
* Do NOT use VOIP
* Accept the SMS code
* Enter it to verify

This step is important — it prevents your posts from being flagged later.

Only post in ONE Craigslist account. Don’t create multiple accounts or Craigslist will block you.

Your Marketing Strategy:

PHASE 1: The REAL Beginner-Friendly Posting Plan

Post 1 Craigslist ad per week.

($25–$45 per week)

PHASE 2: Intermediate Posting (When Leads Start Coming In)

Post 2 ads per week.

($50–$90 per week, or $200–$360 per month)

PHASE 3: Advanced Posting (Only After Commissions)

Post 3–5 ads per week.

($75–$225 per week)

🚫 What You Should NOT Do

❌ No “3 ads per day”

❌ No “post every day”

❌ No “post multiple times per hour”

STEP 2: How to Warm Up Your Craigslist Account (Before Posting Anything)

Craigslist is very sensitive with brand-new accounts.

If you post a $25–$45 job ad on Day 1, Craigslist may:

* ghost the ad
* delay approval
* require extra verification
* block the post completely

So you warm the account up first.

Here’s exactly how:

1. Log into your account once per day for 2–3 days

Just logging in tells Craigslist:
“This is a normal, human user.”

No posting yet.

2. Click around the site naturally

Spend 1–2 minutes browsing:

* Jobs section
* Services section
* Housing section
* For sale section

You don’t need to click anything specific — just act like a normal user.

3. Save a job or two (optional but helpful)

When you click a job posting, you’ll see a link that says “save”.

Clicking this once or twice makes your account look healthy.

4. Reply to 1–2 ads (optional)

You can send a simple message like:

“Is this still available?”

This further warms the account and establishes normal behavior.

5. Wait 48–72 hours before your first paid post

This is the KEY part.

New accounts that post too fast get flagged at a higher rate.

Warmed accounts get:

  • faster approval

  • fewer ghosted posts

  • better long-term trust

This small delay pays off big time.

AFTER 2–3 DAYS: You're cleared to post your first ad

Once your account is warmed:

  • You can safely post in Jobs → Sales

  • Your ads will publish normally

  • You avoid the “new account filter”

  • You dramatically reduce ghosting

🧠 IMPORTANT REMINDER

“Do NOT create multiple Craigslist accounts. Warm up ONE account and use it for all your ads.”

Multiple accounts = red flags
One account = safe & reliable

🔥 Real-World Numbers

From testing across dozens of accounts:

🚫 No warm-up

About 50% of new accounts get ghosted or blocked on their first paid job ad.

✅ Warmed up 48–72 hours

Ghosting drops to under 10%.
Ads publish faster.
Accounts stay cleaner.

This is why you should ALWAYS warm up.

STEP 3: Choose the Correct Posting Category (CRITICAL)

Craigslist has MANY categories, but ONLY ONE is safe, effective, and compliant for our offer.

If you post in the wrong one, the ad will:

  • get flagged

  • get ghosted

  • violate category rules

  • or get removed instantly

So Step 3 makes sure you post in the correct category safely.

THE ONLY CATEGORY YOU SHOULD USE

👉 Jobs → Sales

This is the official, approved, paid category for what we’re offering:

  • Remote digital sales

  • Performance-based pay

  • Entry-level sales work

  • No experience needed

  • Online-based sales role

  • Training provided

  • Commission-based role

This fits the Craigslist posting guidelines perfectly.

🚫 NEVER Post in These Categories

You Should AVOID:

  • Gigs → Computer

  • Gigs → Creative

  • Gigs → Event

  • Gigs → Domestic

  • Services → Computer

  • Services → Lessons

  • For Sale

  • Community

Is It Safe That Everyone Uses the Same Website Link?

Yes — it’s completely safe for all members to use the same website domain with their own username.

Craigslist does not flag or block ads based on identical domains. Companies and recruiters do this every day.

Craigslist only cares about the content inside your ad — your title, description, company name, compensation line, and posting pattern. That’s why we use the Craigslist Posting GPT: it creates unique ads for every member so nothing looks duplicated.

As long as your ad text is unique and you follow the posting steps, your referral link is safe to use.

Just generate your ad, post it in the correct category, and you’re good to go.

Your Craigslist GPT trigger prompts:

Available Triggers:

  • $25 cities

  • $35 cities

  • $45 cities

  • Posting title

  • Job title

  • Description

  • Compensation

  • Company name

  • Banner (The 'banner' prompt should be used anytime after using the 'description' prompt.)

Just type any one of those triggers, and you're CL GPT will create it for you.

What Referral Link Do I Use?

Your 30 Day Challenge Referral Link:
https://MyViralFunnel.com/YourUserNameHere

Just replace YourUserNameHere with your actual username from your account.

For example, if your username is 1234567, your referral link will be:
https://MyViralFunnel.com/1234567

 Before you post ANY Craigslist ad, you must test your link.

Once your link tests correctly, you’re ready to post!

FAQs

Why did my ad get flagged?

Craigslist has human flaggers who report ads they don’t like, don’t understand, or feel threatened by. Sometimes it’s just competitors. Sometimes it’s people who flag anything that looks “salesy.”
It doesn’t always mean you did anything wrong — it’s just part of the CL ecosystem.

Why does my ad go live and then disappear?

This usually means it was community-flagged after posting. It can also happen if you:

  • Posted the same title too often

  • Reused the same city too quickly

  • Used wording that tripped CL filters

  • Posted too many ads from the same browser/IP

Rotation + variation solves most of this.

Why does my ad get ghosted?

Ghosting = CL lets you post but never shows it publicly.
The usual causes are:

  • Posting too fast

  • Posting the same content repeatedly

  • Using patterns CL detects

  • Posting in the wrong category

  • Not rotating cities properly

Using the CL Traffic Mastery GPT helps eliminate repeat patterns.

Why are some cities more strict than others?

Big cities get hit harder by:

  • Competition

  • Human flaggers

  • CL’s automated filters

  • Heavy job-section traffic

Smaller and mid-sized cities usually stay live longer.

Why do my images or banners sometimes get removed?

If a banner:

  • Has a URL

  • Has emojis

  • Looks like an ad

  • Has too much marketing language

  • Has a company name

CL will often remove or block it.

That’s why the GPT generates Craigslist-safe banners only.

Never create multiple Craigslist accounts. Use and warm up just one — it keeps your posting safe.
